Andriy has lived in Germany for many years. Once upon a time, he and his family attended one of the churches, tried not to miss services, and never even thought about the possibility that his spiritual path might be different.
Everything changed by chance. One evening, YouTube offered him a program whose name Andriy no longer remembers. All he remembers is the feeling: as if someone had opened a door he had never even known existed.
His search led him to the Nadiya channel. One program, a second, a third... First out of curiosity, and then out of an inner need, he began listening to sermons, explanations of the book of the prophet Daniel, and turned to various passages of the Bible. He says that before the Word of God was complex and incomprehensible to him, but over time everything began to come together into a single picture.
At work, he stopped turning on music. Instead, he listened to Bible topics and lectures. A year and a half passed like that. It was as if a fire had lit up inside him: he wanted to listen to it again and again.
It was a period of internal struggle. At first, Andriy stopped attending traditional church. What had previously been perceived calmly now held him back. He was especially keenly searching for answers to questions about the Sabbath:
Why Saturday and not Sunday?
Why is it written like that in the Bible?
And why hadn't he heard this anywhere before?
He listened to the entire Bible, and then a second time. The second listening was a turning point: everything suddenly fell into place.
Life began to change. Andriy gave up alcohol and reviewed his diet. This surprised his friends and created some tension at home, but over time his wife also began to be interested in the Word of God. He gave her links to programs, showed her texts in the Bible. And God touched not only his heart.
Living in Frankfurt, Andriy could not find a Ukrainian Christian community for a long time. He consulted with a believer friend, listened to the teachings of their church, but felt that this was not his path.
One day on Facebook, he came across Serhiy Stepaniuk's sermons. He listened with interest – and dared to write whether there was an Adventist community in Frankfurt. A few days later, he received a response and the necessary contact.
Thus ended three years of searching that began with one random video.
Andriy came to church with a firm decision. His first desire was to be baptized in water. Together with his wife, he attended services and baptismal preparation meetings for six months, and on September 6, 2025, they made a covenant with God, becoming members of the Adventist Church. Their daughter is seventeen, she is taking her first steps in faith. The family is changing together.
Andriy says that God led him step by step - through doubts, searches, changes, resistance and hope. He led him through people, through programs, through the Word.
“Whoever wants to find will find,” he repeats.
His story began with a random click on the smartphone screen, and continues on a completely conscious path of faith.
