In the picturesque village of Konovalovka in Poltava region, live a married couple, Iryna and Mykola Tkachenko. There is no Seventh-day Adventist Church community in their village, and the nearest one is 45 kilometers away. It would seem that distance could be an obstacle on the path to knowing biblical truth. But for God, there are no distances.
One evening, while flipping through TV channels, Mykola came across the Nadiya TV channel. He was interested in the biblical reflections and sermons, so he started watching the programs regularly.
Later, Iryna fell ill and was forced to stay in bed for several days. It was then that her husband suggested that she also watch the Nadiya TV channel. What she heard touched her heart. Iryna and Mykola began to study Bible truths together and apply them in their lives.
Wanting to support the ministry of the TV channel, Iryna made a small donation via bank transfer. Thanks to this, the Nadiya team was able to contact her. Thus began a personal communication that helped Iryna take the next steps in faith.
Later, Chaplain Volodymyr invited her to deepen her knowledge of the Bible through online learning. Iryna happily completed three courses: "The Gospel in the Law of God," "Jesus is the Only Hope," and the "Health Project" series.
А On September 20, 2026, Iryna Mykolaivna Tkachenko made a covenant with God through water baptism. and joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The baptism was performed by Pastor Oleksiy Kardashyn.
Iryna's story reminds us once again: there are no borders or distances for God's message. The Lord uses modern technologies, including the ministry of the Nadiya TV channel, to bring the Gospel into people's homes, touch their hearts, and lead them to salvation.
