The real work of my life: a lawyer's journey to faith

My name is Oksana, I am from the city of Dolynsk, Kirovohrad region. I have been working as a lawyer for quite some time. In my profession, it is difficult to be a professional and stay with God. Living such a life, I did not think about God, I turned to Him only in urgent need. At one of such moments, God in prayer revealed to me what I should do. I realized that the Lord did not just allow trials in my life. I must come to God and bring my family to Him. My husband was born into an Adventist family, grew up in the truth, but because of my influence, he turned away from his past life. Realizing this, I went to church, where I received love and support, began to be filled internally and for the first time felt love for God. Once the pastor suggested that I make a stop to distract myself from endless work and everyday bustle. I had to go to the Chernivtsi region for an evangelistic event of the “School of the Bible”. When I arrived there, I didn't even think about baptism, but a few days later, when I heard the call, I stood up with tears in my eyes, unable to even speak, and went on stage. And then the struggle began. For almost three days, I was gripped by incomprehensible fear and doubts, I even wanted to give up, but on Friday I made the final decision. I realized that I really wanted to be with God, and the prayerful support of the community and the strong, inspired sermons of the pastors helped me overcome my fear and realize the importance of this step.
